Loving protector, eternal clown, unparalleled
companion.
In March 2001, I lost Elsa, my first bullmastiff, to
cancer. Elsa was the consummate canine companion -- smart, funny,
and well-behaved. She was the reason I got hooked on bullmastiffs.
She had a mind of her own that she backed up with a stubborn streak the
size of Texas. While she was more a stay-home-in-bed kind of girl
than a get-up-and-go kind of girl, she was always up for fun. She
never failed to be patient and loving with Henry, even when, as a puppy,
he used her ears as chew toys. She is irreplaceable and missed
every day.
Elsa was bred by Maria
and Terry Kane, of Action Bullmastiffs.
